Melissa Monaghan, M.A. CCC-SLP
Co-Owner/ Speech-Language Pathologist
Melissa is currently completing her 12th year as a speech language pathologist. She graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorder from the University of Mississippi in 2009 and a Masters of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Louisiana State University in 2011.
After graduation, Melissa participated in travel speech therapy services in Texas, California, Louisiana, and Hawaii. She has worked in various therapy settings including schools, private practice, and skilled nursing facilities. Melissa holds a certificate of clinical competence (CCC) from the American Speech and Hearing Association and was presented the Award for Continuing Education (ACE) in 2021 for completing at least 70 professional education hours in a period of 3 years. She holds a valid Mississippi Department of Health for Speech Language Pathology License (S-3873), as well as a 215 Educator's License from the Mississippi Department Education as a practicing Speech and Language Pathologist. Melissa has previously served as a clinical supervisor for the graduate program for Speech Language Pathology at Jackson State University.
Melissa has extensive experience in evaluation and treatment of the pediatric population with a variety of disorders, including Autism, Apraxia, Developmental Disorders, Neurological disorders, Feeding & Swallowing Disorders, and Fluency disorders. For the previous 6 years, Melissa has worked for Rankin County School District providing speech therapy services for ages 3-18. She has experience with a variety of Alternative and Augmentative Communication Devices and programs including LAMP Words for Life, Proloquo2go, and PECs.

Melissa enjoys spending time with her two-year old daughter, Lily, and dog, Paisley. she enjoys watching LSU and Saints football, traveling, and spending time with her family in New Orleans.
